Product Quality, Passion for Innovation
OIKOS has established a firm operational principle of commitment to the high quality of the products and seed varieties it offers. This is achieved through the rigorous selection of suppliers, who are evaluated both for the quality of the varieties they provide and for their ability to contribute technical expertise and innovative solutions.
The species imported from international suppliers undergo strict suitability testing through experimental field trials in Greece, in order to assess the adaptability of the species and seed varieties we promote under local growing conditions. Our primary objective is to recommend the most appropriate seed choice for the Greek grower.
Our commercial strategy is based on the continuous pursuit of innovation in the seed sector and on partnerships with suppliers who bring new ideas and advanced technical know-how. We invest in the evaluation and development of new and improved seed varieties, ensuring high standards of quality and performance. In this way, we enhance the overall value of the seed solutions we offer and ensure that our customers have access to reliable and modern propagating material.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT (R&D)
OIKOS holds a recognized identity in the Registry of Conservators and is an active member of the Hellenic Plant Breeding Society.
We participate in the European LIVESEEDING program.
The company specializes in plant breeding through field selection and aims to register new Greek varieties.
In 2025, the project for the registration of two new varieties will be completed, marking a significant step for the company towards sustainable agriculture and the development of improved varieties that are adapted to the conditions of Greek agriculture.

To strengthen this effort, a portion of the revenue from the sales of Traditional Greek Varieties is allocated to the European LIVESEEDING program.
